TerraFlow Planning
When planning a TerraFlow drainage system, first determine the areas ground surface slope and establish an outlet point for discharging water to be collected by the drainage system.
Ground surface slopes determines the natural flow direction for ponded water that cannot infiltrate the soil. Parallel lines of the TerraFlow grid should intersect the natural downhill slope to help collect surface water accumulations.
Typical TerraFlow grid patterns have parallel runs of collectors within the drainage area connected to the trunk drains, which direct flow to the outlet point. All drains should slope downward toward the outlet point.
